My daughter had her 6th birthday party in our backyard, and it was an art party. I love that her birthday party is at the end of May because we can usually get away with an outdoor party.
This was a fun party to plan but it was definitely time-consuming. The rainbow jello pops took FOREVER because I had to make one color, pour it in, put it in the fridge to set for 10 mins or so, and then go on to the next color. I was making jello all day, lol. I made the cupcakes and mini cake myself, so they aren’t the fanciest but they were cheap to make!
The party favors were mostly art supplies found at the dollar store or Joanns and the activities were painting, watercolor pencils, ball poppers, jumping on the trampoline, and temporary tattoos. It was a really successful party and it only rained for a few minutes!
